Hey all, I'm just gonna let you know, you're gonna see lots of cherry blossom photos. They're everywhere here, and it's the most beautiful thing. It's a blessing to be here in Naju. :)
So I'm training a Korean! His name is 이승주 (Lee Seungju). He's from a city called Pyeongtaek, and if any of you remember my days in Dangjin, I actually was serving on the northern border of the mission, and I looked across the bay, and there was Pyeongtaek, the legendary Seoul South mission! Apparently Koreans know the name, but not the location very well, so my companion was surprised when I told him I knew where it was.
He's awesome, always happy, and so diligent. The members seem to like him a lot (and since he's Korean, he is 100% fluent in the language, which seems to help with the members). Se yeah, I'll include a photo of him.
We preparing to move apartments to the building next door, haha. It shouldn't be too hectic. :)
On Friday we went to Mokpo for a proselyting activity, inviting people to come up and answer questions by putting stickers on a board. It's fun, and we'll try doing it more often this week during the Holy Week, with questions about Easter. So yeah, that's mostly it.
Also, I finally watched conference! It was a blast. I really enjoyed Elder Cordon's talk about preserving the language of the gospel in the home. It really struck me when he spoke about maintaining the language using Hispanics as an example, it was like he was describing my family, haha.
I also loved Elder Choi's talk "Don't look around, look up!". He's awesome, and being in Korea, it was awesome seeing his love for his ancestors, and how effective family history can be here. Koreans have books called Jokbo, records of all the people in a family line. I know a member that goes back about 64 generations just looking at one Jokbo. So cool. Do your family history!

Transferencia 14, Semana 1 - Entrenamiento y flores de cerezo por todas partes.
Hola a todos, sólo voy a hacerles saber, vas a ver muchas fotos de flor de cerezo. Están por todas partes, y es lo más hermoso. Es una bendición estar aquí en Naju. :)
¡Así que estoy entrenando a un coreano! Su nombre es 이승주 (Lee Seungju). Él es de una ciudad llamada Pyeongtaek, y si alguno de ustedes recuerda mis días en Dangjin, en realidad estaba sirviendo en la frontera norte de la misión, y miré a través de la bahía, ¡y allí estaba Pyeongtaek, la legendaria misión de Seúl Sur! El viernes fuimos a Mokpo para una actividad de proselitismo, invitando a la gente a venir y responder a las preguntas mediante la colocación de pegatinas en un tablero. Es divertido, e intentaremos hacerlo más a menudo esta semana durante la Semana Santa, con preguntas sobre la Pascua. Así que sí, eso es lo más importante.
¡Además, finalmente vi la conferencia! Que era una maravilla. Realmente disfruté de la charla del élder Cordon sobre preservar el lenguaje del evangelio en el hogar. Realmente me llamó la atención cuando habló de mantener el idioma usando los hispanos como ejemplo, era como si estuviera describiendo a mi familia, jaja.
También me gustó la charla del élder Choi "¡No mires a tu alrededor, mira hacia arriba!". Es impresionante, y estar en Corea, fue impresionante ver su amor por sus antepasados, y cómo la historia familiar puede estar aquí. Los coreanos tienen libros llamados Jokbo, registros de toda la gente en una línea familiar. Conozco a un miembro que se remonta a unas 64 generaciones sólo mirando un Jokbo. Muy chevere. ¡Haz tu historia familiar!
