Transfer 2, Week 1 - Transfers, 택견, and Oh I wish that it would rain (not really)

Good morning all. So Because of the time we received transfer calls, I couldn't email you and let you know..

(drum roll) I'm still here in Chungju! It's nice here, but cold. The rain comes down a lot, and when it doesn't, you generally won't see the sun for about a week. It's depressing, but doing the Lord's work helps. Also...

(drum roll, pt 2) My companion Elder Hernandez has transferred to Gwangju, to the Cheomdan ward. He's the District leader there! He'll do great. I miss him, but he's where the Lord needs him.

My new companion is Elder Burton! He actually was living in the same house with me last transfer, he just had to move stuff to a different room. :) His mom is German, so I've sung the German national anthem once or twice (it's in the hymnbook, just not in German).  :)

Also, a potential investigator asked us to participate in a 택견 (Taekgyeon) competition/festival, so that was fun. Taekgyeon is a Korean martial art like Taekwondo, but very different, look it up. You also can do it to music, making it like Korean Zumba... which is what we did, with a bunch of middle aged and elderly women. We actually got a couple referrals from the activity, so we'll hopefully get some new investigators from this. :)

God will direct our paths and put people along the way so we can help them, and even if the path looks unusual to travel through (like Taekgyeon), God know's what's best.

Transfer 2, Semana 1 - Transferencias, 택견, y Oh Deseo que llueva (no realmente).

Buenos dias a todos. Debido al tiempo en  que recibimos las llamadas de transferencia, no puedo enviarle un correo electrónico y hacerles  saber ..

(redoble de tambores) todavía estoy aquí en Chungju! Es agradable aquí, pero frío. Llueve  mucho, y cuando no lo hace, por lo general, no vemos el sol durante una semana. Es deprimente, pero haciendo la obra del Señor ayuda también...

(redoble de tambores, pt 2) Mi compañero Elder Hernández ha sido trasladado a Gwangju, al Barrio de Cheomdan. Él es el líder Distrito allí! Él lo va a hacer muy bien. Lo echo de menos, pero es donde el Señor lo necesita.

Mi nuevo compañero es Elder Burton! En realidad estaba viviendo en la misma casa conmigo desde la última transferencia, sólo tenía que mover sus  cosas a una habitación diferente. :) Su madre es alemana, así que he cantado el himno nacional alemán una o dos veces (está en el himnario, no sólo en alemán). :)

Además, un investigador potencial nos pidió participar en un 택견 (taekgyeon) concurso / festival, fue divertido. Taekgyeon es un arte marcial coreano como el Taekwondo, pero muy diferente, búsquenlo. También puede hacerlo con  música, por lo que es como  Zumba Coreano ... que es lo que hicimos, con un grupo de mujeres de mediana edad y ancianos. En realidad nos dieron un par de referencias de la actividad, por lo que  con suerte tendremos  algunos de los nuevos investigadores de esto. :)

Dios va a dirigir nuestros caminos y poner a la gente en el camino para que podamos ayudarlos, y aun cuando el camino parece inusual al viajar a través  (como taekgyeon), Dios sabe que es lo mejor.
