Good night, all is well here in Korea, but we have not found new investigators. I love the people here, and I feel so blessed to be part of this great work. It's all right with you?
I love Chungju. It's been a while since I've emailed, there’s a lot to read.
So, last Monday, The northern zones of our mission (Daejeon, Cheongju, and Cheonan) went up to a park called Songnisan. There are a bunch of Buddhist temples, and I learned a lot about Korean history and whatnot. Also, there is a giant Buddha statue. So cool. Also, the leaves are extremely pretty at this time of year. I’m loving the view, and I must say that the fall here is definitely comparable Utah's fall, if not better. I'll try to get some pictures sent.
Korean is honestly very difficult. It is the hardest thing I've done in my life. I do not understand much, but people look at me and talk like they do not know I do not understand anything. Although Koreans also tell me that my pronunciation is very good, I do not speak much as American missionaries who have time here. I am reading the Book of Mormon in Korean and that will help me with the language.
In other news, I have started reading Jesus the Christ. It is very dense, I must say, but learning so much about the Savior is just wonderful, and reading the Book of Mormon is like a refuge for me. It's so constant and unchanging even when the world around me and the world back home is constantly shifting. I testify that as we establish ourselves on the Savior, we can truly find peace, constancy, and joy in this life and the life to come.
Oh, my title: My companion and I were walking and this guy started talking to us. I don't understand Korean very well, so I just heard a lot of "God" and "heart", but that was it. He asked where I was from, so I told him, and after some more conversation he took my hand, touched my face and said, "It's doesn't matter if you're from South Africa, you are here in Korea for a reason." Super weird, super funny. :)
Today in our P-Day we will not do anything special, we will buy food, wash clothes, and catch up with family.

"No importa si eres de Sudáfrica"
Hola Familia y amigos,
Buenas noches, todo está bien aquí en Corea, pero no hemos encontrado a nuevos investigadores. Amo a la gente aquí, y me siento tan bendecido de ser parte de esta gran obra. Está todo bien con ustedes?
Me encanta Chungju. Ha sido un tiempo largo desde que he enviado un correo electrónico, habían mucho que leer.
Así, el lunes pasado, las zonas del norte de nuestra misión (Daejeon, Cheongju, y Cheonan) subimos al parque llamado Songnisan. Hay un montón de templos budistas, y aprendí mucho sobre la historia de Corea y otras cosas. También, hay una estatua gigante de Buda. Que Chévere, además, las hojas son muy bonita en esta época del año. Me facinó la vista, y debo decir que el otoño aquí es sin duda comparable al otoño de Utah, si no mejor. Voy a tratar de conseguir algunas fotos para enviarlas.
Honestamente el coreano es muy difícil. Es la cosa más difícil que he hecho en mi vida. No entiendo casi nada, pero la gente me mira y hablan como que no saben que no entiendo nada. Aunque también los coreanos me dicen que mi pronunciación es muy buena, no hablo tanto como los misioneros americanos que tienen tiempo aquí. Estoy leyendo el libro de mormón en coreano y eso me ayudara con el lenguaje.
En otras noticias, he empezado a leer Jesús el Cristo. Es muy denso, hay que decir, pero aprender mucho acerca del Salvador es simplemente maravilloso, y la lectura del Libro de Mormón es como un refugio para mí. Es tan constante e inmutable incluso cuando el mundo que me rodea y el mundo de vuelta a casa está constantemente cambiando. Testifico que a medida que centramos nosotros mismos en el Salvador, podemos encontrar verdaderamente la paz, la constancia, y gozo en esta vida y en la vida venidera.
Oh, mi título: Mi compañero y yo estábamos caminando y este chico empezó a hablar con nosotros. No entendía el coreano muy bien, por lo que podia oír una gran cantidad de "Dios" y "corazón", pero eso fue todo. Me preguntó de dónde era, así que le dije, y después de un poco más de conversación me tomó la mano, me tocó la cara y dijo: "No es importante si eres de Sudáfrica, Tu está aquí en Corea por una razón ". Super raro, super divertido. :)
Hoy en nuestro P-Day no haremos nada especial, vamos a comprar comida, lavar ropa, y ponernos al día con la familia.
