Hey all! I hope you all have been well, and are enjoying Memorial Day back in the states. To be honest, I completely forgot that it was memorial day. All I remember is that the 29th is my brother's birthday #ShoutOutToSamuel Though he's my only brother, I know that he is the best brother that God could have given me. 1 Peter 2:17, a favorite scripture that says the word "brotherhood". :)
So on Friday, Elder Dallin H. Oaks came along with Elder Gong of the presidency of the Seventy, and Elder Choi (He just spoke in general conference- "Don't look around, look up!"- great talk) and met with our mission for a couple of hours, and it was such a wonderful, spiritual experience. I could feel their love for all the people in the room. I also had a wonderful opportunity to sing with Elder Hunsaker, a close missionary friend of mine, and we sang "Lord, I Would Follow Thee" together, with Elder Rifareal, another close missionary friend, playing the piano. After the musical number, Elder Oaks talked about the importance in maintaining harmony and balance in duets, as well as companionship, and eventually, marriage. I received answers to questions I didn't even know I needed, and I truly could feel God's guidance and love in that meeting.
Anyway, there isn't much else for me to say; I'm still trying to adjust to the fast pace of big city life as a missionary... hahaha. Prayers from all y'all are totally welcome and appreciated. :)
Here's a scripture that Elder Oaks shared in the meeting that helped me a lot. D&C 46:13,14
To some it is given by the Holy Ghost to know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he was crucified for the sins of the world. To others it is given to believe on their words, that they also might have eternal life if they continue faithful.

Transferencia 15, Semana 2- Elder Oaks
¡Oigan todos! Espero que todos ustedes esten bien, y esten disfrutando de Memorial Day en USA. Para ser honesto, olvidé por completo que era un día de Fiesta. Todo lo que recuerdo es que el día 29 es el cumpleaños de mi hermano #ShoutOutToSamuel Aunque él es mi único hermano, sé que él es el mejor hermano que Dios podría haberme dado. 1 Pedro 2:17, una escritura favorita que dice la palabra "hermandad".
Así que el viernes, el élder Dallin H. Oaks vino con el élder Gong de la presidencia de los Setenta, y el élder Choi (Él acaba de hablar en la conferencia general: "¡No mires a mirar, mira hacia arriba! Nuestra misión por un par de horas, y fue una maravillosa experiencia espiritual. Podía sentir su amor por todas las personas en la habitación. También tuve una maravillosa oportunidad de cantar con el élder Hunsaker, un amigo misionero cercano, cantamos "Lord, I Would Follow Thee" juntos, con el élder Rifareal, otro amigo misionero cercano, tocando el piano. Recibí respuestas a preguntas que ni siquiera sabía que necesitaba, y realmente podía sentir la guía y el amor de Dios en esa reunión.
De todos modos, no hay mucho más que decir; Todavía estoy tratando de adaptarme al ritmo rápido de la vida de la gran ciudad como un misionero ... jajaja. Oraciones de todos ustedes son totalmente bienvenidos y apreciados. Esta es una escritura que el élder Oaks compartió en la reunión que me ayudó mucho.
