Hey all! This week was good, but I don't recall anything super eventful or crazy, so this will be short. Last week on preparation day, we went to Damyang, a city in our zone and it;s famous for bamboo, so we went to a museum and a cool bamboo forest. Enjoy the photos.
Also went on exchanges with one of the Korean elders in my district. It was fun, but he's been a little sick, so we mostly were in the house. I learned a lot though, and we translated some Korean recipes together, with is a really good time.
I just want to share a thought from the Book of Mormon. Alma 29:6,9,14
"Now, seeing that I know these things, why should I desire more than to perform the work to which I have been called?
"I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.
But I do not joy in my own success alone, but my joy is more full because of the success of my brethren..."
I don't know if you all back home (or on missions) have noticed, but Korea is not an easy place for missionary work. At the beginning of my mission, I had a hard time comparing myself to not only my fellow 대전 missionaries, but my friends all over the world, so that was a trial for me. I'm grateful that I have been able to overcome those weaknesses to some extent, and I truly rejoice to see all of you working hard and finding the elect.
The Spirit has witnessed to many missionaries, myself included, that this is the hardest mission in the world, and I'm so glad to be part of this work, and as long as I do what the Lord wills of me, I can be confident that His work is moving forward though I can't see it with my imperfect eyes.

Transferencia 13, Semana 2- Lo siento, no hay título esta semana
¡Oigan todos! Esta semana fue buena, pero no recuerdo nada estupendo o loco, así que esto será corto. La semana pasada en el día de la preparación, fuimos a Damyang, una ciudad en nuestra zona y es famosa por el bambú, así que fuimos a un museo y un bosque de bambú fresco. Disfruten de las fotos.
También fui a intercambios con uno de los Elderes Coreanos en mi distrito. Fue divertido, pero estaba un poco enfermo, así que en su mayoría estábamos en la casa. Aprendí mucho, sin embargo, y tradujimos algunas recetas coreanas juntos, por eso fue un tiempo realmente bueno.
Sólo quiero compartir un pensamiento del Libro de Mormón. Alma 29: 6,9,14
"Ahora, viendo que yo sé estas cosas, ¿por qué deseo más que realizar la obra a la que he sido llamado?
"Yo sé lo que el Señor me ha mandado, y me glorío en él. No me glorío de mí mismo, sino que me glorío en lo que el Señor me ha mandado, sí, y esta es mi gloria, que tal vez pueda ser un Instrumento en las manos de Dios para traer algo de alma al arrepentimiento, y este es mi gozo.
Pero no gozo en mi propio éxito solo, pero mi alegría es más plena debido al éxito de mis hermanos ... "
No sé si todos ustedes que han regresado a casa (o en misiones) han notado, pero Corea no es un lugar fácil para el trabajo misional. Al principio de mi misión, me costó mucho compararme no sólo con mis compañeros misioneros, sino con mis amigos en todo el mundo, así que eso fue una prueba para mí. Estoy agradecido de haber sido capaz de superar esas debilidades hasta cierto punto, y realmente me alegro de ver a todos ustedes trabajando duro y encontrando a los elegidos.
El Espíritu ha sido testigo de muchos misioneros, incluido yo mismo, que esta es la misión más difícil del mundo, estoy muy contento de ser parte de esta obra, y mientras yo haga lo que el Señor quiere de mí, puedo estar Confiado en que su trabajo se está moviendo hacia adelante aunque no puedo verlo con mis ojos imperfectos.
